NEW PLASTIC GARBAGE PATCH DISCOVERED IN ARCTIC OCEAN

An international team of scientists from 12 institutions in eight countries recently discovered a new garbage patch in the Greenland and Barents seas north of Norway. Between 100 and 1,200 tons of plastic have concentrated there, threatening wildlife already grappling with climate change.
