Resilient coral could pass down their heat-resistance to the next generation

Coral rely on a symbiotic relationship with colonies of algae that live inside their bodies to survive. Coral “bleaching” occurs when environmental stressors like warm waters disrupt this balance. But some coral might be extra adaptable.
