To All BMT Coyote Water Warriors and Supporters:
Hello Everyone:
Hope you enjoyed the holidays. Father Sun has reached its winter home (solstice) and is now traveling back to its Summer home.
Mother Earth has awakened from her sleep and is getting ready to take care of life, but she needs our help.
Kiva leaders said: “Take down the drum”, meaning it is time to sing and celebrate, time to be thankful that we survived Kyaamuya (December) the “Hard Moon.”
Good News, Beky raised $90,000 for year 2017. I’m really happy and proud of her accomplishments. This has kept us going for this past year and as always she will once again began fundraising for 2018. This is always a priority and a never-ending task.
Not so good news. Our granddaughter (Angel) has been having complications, a result from her hip surgery. Family is very concerned but, all have helped in some way. Thank you for all the prayers. It really helps Teresa Mom and the immediate family. Beky and I have been off and on in Scottsdale for the past month to help where we can.
Another sad news, Robbie Robinson, a long-time friend and supporter of BMT passed on to the spirit world. He provided generous technical support and I feel helpless and very sad. We had planned to meet to work on a utility transmission line and solar generating station to be located on Hopi private ranch between Winslow and Flagstaff. This project would have helped the Hopi Tribe economically. Will be hard to find another dedicated person like Robbie. Farewell friend.
Please take good care of yourselves and family. Celebrate the fact that our 25-year plus mission to end Peabody mining thereby saving billion gallons of our pristine drinking waters for future generations, and cultural resources will finally be accomplished, Thanks to all for helping and for your support all these past years. We have met many dedicated people throughout the years and continue to meet and to reconnect with old acquaintances. Have a safe and healthy new year. May your lives be purposeful, show kindness to all especially those who are in need. Remember the teaching of our elders: “When you see a child crying, stop and wipe away the tears; when you see a child hungry, feed the child; when someone is sick, comfort them.” We are all in this world together and to carry out this teaching, as simple as it is, will make the world a better place.
I am copying you a draft of commentaries I am working on for your information.
