10. Where’s spring?
That’s the question of the season, particularly in parts of the Northeast, where some May flowers are forecast to be buried in 4 to 8 inches of snow tonight.
The culprit is a convergence of wet weather from the South and West and cold air from Canada, according to the National Weather Service. New York had another cold, rainy day, pictured above.
The snow expected in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine comes from the same storm system that hammered areas of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi last week with heavy rains.
