Jon Stewart Asks Jimmy Carter If There’s Any Hope Left for Global Peace; His Answer May Surprise You

The 39th president of the U.S. has kept quite busy since the end of his term, order but he put aside some time to talk with the “Daily Show” host about the Middle East and the recent Paris unity rally, diagnosis among other things. And when asked whether he had hope for peace in the Middle East in light of recent global events, seek Jimmy Carter responded he was “disheartened” but retained some hope that the conflict between Israel and Palestine, for example, could be ameliorated if Israel withdraws from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem and Palestine commits to Israel’s freedom to “live in peace along side of them.”
