Dear Casey,

CNN broke the news that the bomb Saudi Arabia used to kill 40 children on a school bus was manufactured by military contractor Lockheed Martin. The sale was approved by the State Department, making the US complicit in this most recent atrocity in Yemen.

It’s time for the U.S. to stop backing the death of children. Senator Chris Murphy (CT) introduced an amendment to stop allowing U.S. tax dollars to fund the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. Tell your Senators to support Sen. Murphy’s amendment, and stop sending bombs to kill innocent Yemenis.

Saudi Arabia has been targeting innocent Yemeni civilians by dropping US made bombs on schools, hospitals, markets, neighborhoods, and events like funerals and weddings since 2015. And Lockheed Martin is not the only company profiting from the Saudi-led war in Yemen. Raytheon and General Dynamics are also guilty of causing thousands of deaths.

Senator Chris Murphy’s amendment would stop U.S. tax dollars from funding this unconstitutional war – a war that was never authorized by Congress. Tell your Senators to support Senator Murphy and vote in favor of the amendment!

The US military industrial complex is causing death and destruction all over the world. So-called “defense” contractors like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and General Dynamics – and the financial institutions that support them – rake in billions of dollars from this type of carnage. We’re taking action at the local level by moving our money out of the institutions and communities that are making a killing on killing.
